She carries the magnets all around the house and has figured out how to put them back on the fridge (or anything magnetic). Unfortunately she is still in the "chew everything" stage, so the paper stickers are not holding up as well as they would if she wasn't eating them. I didn't realize that wooden magnets would have sticker pictures on them - I thought they would be painted - this is my only complaint. 35 of 39 found the following review helpful: Good for toddlers learning about animalsApr 19, 2009 By Simbolina My daughter is one and loves animals and magnets, but these don't hold her attention for very long. I like them for teaching her about animals and animal sounds, but she won't play with them on her own. They are also too thin for her to easily take off the refrigerator and put them back on. I also bought the LeapFrog Fridge Farm Magnetic Animal Set, and that's much better for keeping her entertained on her own. (The pieces are chunkier and have optional sounds and music). However- it says that they are included in a storage box- but it doesn't have a lid! It's just a wooden box with plastic wrap over the top! I was hoping I could put them away and pull them out on rainy days... but I guess I am going to have to just leave them on the fridge. The core is wood, but the face is paper, which comes off. Disappointing. My son loves magnets and I thought this would be a great way to teach him about animals. They are great looking BUT I wish they were more heavy duty. They are essentially a magnetic backing with a layer of wood in the middle. On top of that is a paper picture and a thin laminated plastic layer on top. Not good for kids who like to put things in their mouths. In a matter of moments without much effort at all he had chewed off the turtles face.
