Great developmental toyMay 02, 2009
By Amanda Jayne For those of you looking for more details, as the description is sorely lacking, here they are: The outer diameter of each ring is about 7 inches, the inner diameter about 5; the spines are between a quarter and half an inch long; I'm not sure what the rings are made of, but it has a rubber/plasticy feel and is flexible. They are sold seperately, not in sets of four.
Now for the review:
I bought one of these as a gift for the little girl I babysit for. She has severe brain damage and is sometimes hard to buy for, but she liked this a lot. As soon as I put her hand around it, she started turning it around to feel the spines, and she was able to keep a good hold on it.
This seems like a great developmental toy. The spines massage your hands, which is wonderful for sensory development, and it's flexible, so you can bend and twist it. It also seems to be very durable, and should be able to stand up to chewing. Overall, I would highly recommend this toy.

Only 1 Ring NOT (RINGS) as described.May 04, 2009
By Steven T. Watson The product description and review of another person clearly states (RINGS) the picture has several so I was expecting to receive what was in the picture. It was just a big red ring and nothing more.
In there product description they should state " A Ring" not RINGS.
While I think it is a great product I am truly disapointed in the false description.

AKU RINGJul 18, 2009
By T. Sullivan I agree about the description of this "ring". I was a bit disappointed myself, expecting a set of rings. It is fairly large as in previous review. I think it is a great developmental toy. My son likes the feel of it and that he can "fidget" with it by bending and twisting, etc...

Angelman's SyndromeOct 24, 2010
By SB I purchased two of these rings for my 10 year old cousin with Angelman's Syndrome. She is enjoying them so far. They are a nice large size, and seem very durable and safe enough for her to bite.
Not what it seemsFeb 01, 2011
By Kristin This item is very stiff and not suitable or useful for really anyone. I would not recommend this to anyone, not even the dog. :( I accidentally purchased this item thinking it was something else, but oh well.
