Not worth the moneyNov 24, 1999
The tail tore off the sponge fish during the first use. The paints aren't dark enough to see when smeared on the shower wall.

My 2 year old LOVED this product!Dec 07, 1999
I dind't know if I'd ever get him out of the tub! He did have a little trouble getting enough paint on his fingers, so I got his paintbrush, and that worked better. The yellow was a little hard to see, but they smelled great! He painted all the walls, then himself, and begged for more! When I told him we were saving some for later, he had fun washing off the walls with the fish-sponge. Then he played with the fish for a while pretending to catch it and cook it. To sum it up, when the bath was over, he clapped his hands and said "Mommy, I LOVE my tub paints!"

A Kid's favorite bath toyOct 29, 2002

My daughter loves this set... we're on our 3rd. I can't imagine a child not loving this! Obviously it doesnt last forever, but it lasts a lot longer than you would think it would by seeing the small bottles. The colors are mostly really bright, and if you jostle the soap in the water to make bubbles you can see the color in the bubbles! if you need to "bribe" a kid into the bath this toy is garenteed to do the trick!! 1 small complaint: -the "pallate" is worthless.. it doesnt float and wont fit on the side of the tub. (if you save the plastic part of the package it makes a MUCH better paint-holder.. although it takes on water as well if the child isnt careful) It would be really great if they made a deluxe set with a good quality floating palate and maybe some stamps.

Not ImpressedOct 11, 2003
This is an ok toy, but I wasn't all that impressed. There is not a lot of each color, and you really need a lot of one color to see it. It also really stung when my 3 year old got it in her eyes. She still loved it, but I would not buy again.

Good Product!Jun 17, 2000
My daughter loves this stuff! I put in in a play kitchen pot (bad idea) and while she was leaning over to "paint" she dumped it. Used a taller plastic glass (good idea) and it worked much better. Thanks to the previous reviewer for the paint brush hint. It works much better with the brush, it lasts longer too. I agree, I wish they had refills. To heck with the educational value, IT'S PLAIN FUN!
