She's in tears because the paper doesn't take the paint well. I remember finger paint gliding easily all over the paper. This does not. The paper turns into absorbent cheap paper and the paint doesn't glide. This paper is too thin and not glossy enough. I bet glossy print paper might work better. Plan to try that when my daughter stops crying.
