Due to the alternating textures of this product, it is an excellent chewable hand fidget for children craving sensory input, and the input received from destructive oral motor grinding. The textures of this product were designed by therapists to simulate the ever changing textures of food, therefore assisting with children who have sensory issues when certain textures are placed in their mouth. Chew Stixx is an oral motor device and not a toy. Use of this product should be supervised by an adult or therapist at all times.  Excellent Chewy for Strong JawsAug 12, 2010

My 4 year-old son (who has ASD / SPD) is a chewer non pareil. We have tried all (and I do mean ALL) the chewies out there, and this Chew Stixx has proven the most durable. Even still, they only last about two weeks (that kid must be part-shark!), but that's such an improvement over all the other chewies we've tried. He likes the length of the stixx because he can really shove it back there and use his molars (which soothes his system). The price here is *by far* the best out there, even when you add in S&h. I have researched like mad! We attach this stixx to a ChewEase (we remove the aquarium tubing part and cut down the coil b/c the Stixx is heavy so will pull it way down), so it's always attached to his clothing so he always has chewing access.

This chew stick has lasted for months, it seems like it cannot be destroyed, I was skeptical of that, also unlike the chew stixx junior the ends are closed so no saliva (or anything) can get in there, Great!

My son has severe disabilities and craves oral input. He chews on things constantly. The chew stixx offer a great way to do this. However, he is older and can chew things up quickly. These particular stixx are very durable. The stixx make it so he can focus on educational activities because he is receiving the input he needs when chewing. They are not necessarily fun, but necessary for him and his needs.

My daughter is newly diagnosed with aspergers. She fequently chews on her shirt when overloaded. We found Chew Stixx to be a great way to keep her shirt dry and to help her through difficult times for her.

My son is a big time, heavy duty chewer. He chews through pencils at school, chews his clothes, and anything else he can get in his mouth. He cannot destroy this and he is quite satisfied with it! Sometimes he complains that it makes his teeth hurt because it is tough, but this is after he has chewed it for a little bit, and chewed it pretty hard. Overall, I love it. I can give it to him and prevent him chewing on other random things. I wish it were designed to look more like some sort of common item, so it's not obviously a "chew toy." However, it is still a great product.
