As a kid we used to draw our marble games with chalk on concrete similar to this so I thought this would be a nice way to play marbles with my son. I was disappointed with it. It is small, the picture was off center and you have to figure out a way to hold it down without much room to do so. The cloth seemed cheap and I wouldn't try washing it because of that. There were no instructions with it and it was cheaply packaged. Education on the art of the many marble games that can be played was limited to our own knowledge of the games. To be fair, perhaps mine didn't have one and others do as I didn't call about it. I didn't return this item as it wasn't worth the cost to return, imho. We used it a few times but good old tape still works the best as far as I'm concerned. We also use a large chalk/cork board on the floor which works okay. Trammell This set of marbles has variety in terms of colors and patterns. It can be a fun and educational tool for teaching basic math skills, which is how I use it with my 4 year old son. Overall, this marble set is very enjoyable. The only detractor is that it did not include a shooter.
