toddler kitchen accessoriesFeb 11, 2010
By CBR We gave these kitchen accessories to our 2 year old daughter to go with her kitchen for Christmas. They are durable, modern, and a good size for her hands. A minor issue is that the container is narrow and tall, which makes it easy to knock over. I wish the base was a little wider. But overall I am happy with these utensils.

Great Find!Jan 18, 2009
By Buttercup We bought this utensil set to go with our daughter's play kitchen. She's 20 months old and she LOVES them!! They are the perfect size for her little hands, and she uses them for play and for real - to help us mix things, etc. when we're preparing food. I also love that they're dishwasher safe and NOT made of plastic so they're safe for her to put in her mouth.

Toysmith Cooking UtensilsNov 11, 2010
By Linda I purchased this toy for my almost 3 year old grandaughter for christmas because that was the age recommendation on the product. However, I just recieved the item and the package says it is for 5 years and over, not 3 years. The set is cute, but the spatular is somewhat sharp for a 3 year old . Not sure if I will give this to her.
Great utensils . . . except the metal spatulaJan 02, 2012
By Jessica My son is 17 months old and we got him these utensils to go with his play kitchen. He *loves* the wooden spoon, whisk and rubber spatula. We decided not to give him the metal spatula, though, because its front edge is pretty sharp. We also haven't given him the metal "crock" that the utensils are supposed to go in. The top edge of it is also quite sharp, and as you can see from the picture I uploaded, it's so small and tippy that he couldn't possibly get the utensils to stay upright in it. I'm thinking we might get a larger pencil cup (or even a soup can!) and stick it to his kitchen with double-stick tape for him to keep his spoons and spatulas in.
The age recommendation on the box is 5+, but I think the wooden spoon, whisk and rubber spatula are fine for toddlers. They're excellent quality and will provide years of pretend stirring! They can also actually be used for real food preparation, if you wish.
