Best play tent I've foundDec 16, 2008
By Amy B I looked at a number of play tents and this is one of the very few that not only have the "pop-up" feature but also have a few rods to help stabilize it once it's up.
It opens up as soon as you take it out of the bag. Then, there are two rods (similar to regular tent poles) that slide into rod pockets under the front door and the same on the opposite panel. This keeps the tent from collapsing while the kids are playing in it. It also comes with two tent stakes so you can anchor it to the ground outside.
You do have to practice collapsing it. If you follow the directions, you should be able to get it back into the bag, but usually part of it still sticks out or I stuff it into another slightly larger bag of my own. Still, it's better than having to leave a playhouse up all the time if you have limited space.
Overall this toy was THE big hit for my 4-year-old daughter's birthday. She played in it with an 8-year-old friend and 19-year-old big sister and it held up well! We are thrilled with it.

Great features!Aug 28, 2008
By Allison Jones I just purchased this pop up Princess tent for my 3 year old grandaughter at her mother's suggestion. My grandaughter loved the tent. She peaked through the window and loved being able to go out of the back door as well as the front. It popped open instantly and so far has stood up well.

Well Designed and Reasonably SturdyMar 22, 2010
By Reader We bought this for our granddaughters (age 2 and 6) at the same time that someone else bought one of a different design. The other one had a center pole which soon collapsed, rendering it useless. The one we bought does not have any support pole in the interior, and thus is roomy and, so far, has held up very well. The little girls love to get inside with us and pretend it's raining outside (i.e., in the living room). We've been delighted with it.
Before buying this, I spent some time looking at reviews of this and other pop-up tents. This one had the best rating. These Amazon reviews are very helpful.

Best pop-up tent!Dec 30, 2008
By Megan's Mom Chose this tent for my nearly 3 year old daughter after doing research on many other pop-up tents. Most others had the constant complaint in their reviews that they collapse too easily while the child is in the tent. This one stays up! It's easy enough to collapse when you want to put it away, but we've been too busy playing with it to put it away much yet! Her favorite method of entry is to cannon-ball herself through the door, so if it's durable to withstand that and not fall down, you know it's good quality! Great hideaway for imaginative play with her dress up clothes and princess dollies. Keep checking, and hopefully Amazon will bring it back in stock soon!

The perfect tent for play!Feb 14, 2010
By Sarah We got this tent over a year ago for our then 3 year old. It is still like new! My girls play in it all the time and they take it to Grandma's for overnighters! They love to campout (inside) in this tent! The set up is simple and it folds right back into its bag for storage. Cannot recommend it highly enough! At the $25 I paid, it's a steal!
