4Great First BlocksSep 03, 2010
These were given to my child at 6 months - too young to play with them then, but at 16 months they're perfect. The set only comes with what's pictured, which really isn't much, so they're not the best option if your child enjoys stacking blocks (as mine does). I added the Fantasy Blocks so there'd be more to play with.

Overall, I'm very pleased - they're durable, each block has something unique about it (i.e. mirror, bell...) to keep my child interest, and they're German-made.

5Great first blocksMay 26, 2010
There aren't many blocks but they are durable and attractive. After four or five months of being knocked down, they still look great. My son is ten months old now and has enjoyed checking out and knocking down all the blocks. My husband said that I could buy as many blocks like these as I wanted - and that says a lot! I recently bought Sevi fantasy cubes because I could get more for less money. I was disappointed since the paint started chipping shortly after receiving them. I'm returning those and will replace them with more Haba blocks.

5Not made in China!!!Jan 11, 2010
Not all Haba toys are not made in China. There stuffed animals are made in China. Blocks and other wooden toys are not. My 10-month old son recieved this set for Christmas. He and three-year-old brother love the ball in this set. I don't know why but they do. My younger son also enjoys the little figure and likes to carry him around. He is also fastinated by the block with a bell in it. The pieces are very well made and the colors are bright. This is an extremly cute little starter set of blocks.

5Fabulous first blocksJan 10, 2010
I bought these blocks for my granddaughter, who is 6 months old. She absolutely loves them! She is too young to stack them, but is fascinated by the colors and shapes. I will buy more of these for gifts and will definitely buy more Haba toys for our little darling!

5Imagination-inspiring toy for all agesDec 26, 2009
We were given these blocks for a new baby, but my 2 1/2 year old and I just spent an hour working with them while he made up stories about things the clown was doing. They are well-made, and each one so unique to lend itself to lots of creativity! I noticed my son was so content and calm working with these, they are much better than some of the electronic toys that over-stimulate kids and steal their opportunity to imagine. I'd highly recommend these!
