I threw this into my Amazon cart because my kids and the kids on our block play jump rope constantly and it's getting harder and harder to find jump ropes in stores. For seven plus dollars, I expected a little more durability. Most of the ropes I have purchased are closer to ninety-nine cents. The second time my six year old daughter picked this up...and I mean simply picked it up...the handle fell off in her hand. We've tried to push the rope back in and anchor it, but nothing so far has worked. So, we have a fairly expensive one handled jump rope. Skip (no pun intended) the feathers and "glam" and stick with the cheaper versions. I wish someone would recreate the plastic ones of my youth. They lasted forever, spun around quickly and never, ever broke.
