Great ball that really glows in the dark!Jun 07, 2008
By Emma Manning My 8 year old son loves this product. It glows beautifully in the dark. It's also got an interesting texture that makes it more fun to play with. He also likes to take it in the pool with him. The only drawback is that we couldn't get the plug fully inserted. It sticks out about 1/4 and that's why I've only given it 4 stars instead of 5. It's still a great ball!

summer funJun 21, 2010
By L. Riach bought as a gift. I have not heard anything about its glow factor, but as a toy I am sure the boys will have great fun. It is easy to catch for the young kids and that was the intent. It is too early to tell whether this is a durable toy. I hope it last the summer.

Nice balls--nice texture, love the warm green glow in the dark.Dec 26, 2009
By Magicbird I really love this glow-in-the-dark ball. It's unusual fleshy texture makes it very warm and inviting to the touch. It's easy to catch. You can make it softer by partially inflating it (great for a toddler to hold) and you can use it inside the house with little worry of harming anything.
But what I love most about this ball is its warm, green glow when you play with it in a darkened room. It's nicer than other glow-in-the dark balls I've owned in the past.
Great ball, almost perfectFeb 05, 2011
By Mark Pulley Let me preface this by saying, I don't have kids. I just like toys. I bought this years ago in my early twenties. It's lasted a long time being thrown, caught, and kicked. It's easy to catch and I like being able to make it as inflated as I want. I like a slightly flat ball. It's a little easier to catch and doesn't do damage if I throw it around in the house. Anyway, it's a great ball and one of my favorite. I only hesitate to give it five stars because it has a slight odor that stays on your hands, requiring you to wash them after playing with it. This odor hasn't gone away in eight years. It's not overpowering, even to my over-sensitive nose, but it's there. The other thing I don't like is that it has a hard air plug. If you catch it wrong when someone throws it hard, it can sting. I would have liked a soft rubber or silicone cap on the plug. Overall though, it's still worth getting. I haven't found another ball like the Gertie Ball. Everything else has either popped or just not been as much fun. So, while it could be better, it's the best of it's kind.
