The swing replacement part is also for the 35 year old swing set. Yes the original swing lasted that many years and the set is still in my back yard. I think the new swing is great and so do the kids. I was happy to find a place like Amazon to order new replacemants for the Swing Set. The kids love it. We go it to be a third on the swing set that only came with two. I have 3 kids, need 3 swings. The chains were a bit thicker than the ones on the other swings that came with the set. DH made some adjustments to the hooks already in the set, and it works great.
