Not for younger or smaller childrenJul 29, 2011
By Mama Sundrop This product is great fun! All the kids seem to be drawn to it. They love to bounce all around on it, but every kid that has sat on it has tipped backwards and hit their head on the floor.... So beware! It seems like the children three and over learn how to not fall after a few tips. But I would advise you put to put a younger child on this, as they will likely get hurt.
I also purchased the rocking base and it works great. To turn the bouncy horse in to a rocking horse you have to partially deflate it (which is quick because as soon as you pull the plug out the air escapes VERY quickly, no valve...) Then when it is partially deflated you just tuck the feet into the hole on the base. Then you inflate again and you have a rocking horse. I would say a small hand pump would be the most convenient way to do this- something you can store near the horse. I use my vacuum and it is just a pain.
Overall I would rate this toy a five, perhaps even a six, except for the fact that it is kind of dangerous to have around some kids. Even if your kid is not the kind to fall off of this, almost certainly a friend or cousin eventually will.
Fun for TotsApr 11, 2012
By laura shaffner My daughter is 1 and she loves this toy. She laughs and bounces on it and likes to drag it around. I'm glad I got it!
Great fun but smellyMar 15, 2012
By BigMontana So we got one of these from a family member and our kids loved it so we got one for a friend. Our toddler loves interacting and carrying it around and bouncing. If you hold the rody's heas and your toddler holds the ears this baby can get some air time. Just make sure you order it at least a month in advance. Right out of the box this thing reeks and I can't image it is healthy. We left it in a secluded place far away from the kids for a month and it was still a little smelly but not the overpowering slap in the face when you open the box. The inflation mechanism is also very stupid and requires slight of hand. Just read the instructions and do the opposit of how you think it should be done...and bingo yes you have to pull out the plug while holding the inflator on the end of the bike pump because it won't grab on. Oh well but lots of fun...and make a good backrest for parents when not in use otherwise
