A great way to learn how to play marbles - good for indoor play. Only minor complaint is that the mat will bubble up, not permitting a clean playing surface. It doesn't bother the kids though. They take it as a challenge of the game.

Often times when the kids put their arms on the mat to shoot, the mat will crinkle which moves the marbles. For now, they just play with the marbles without the mat. Since they do like playing with the marbles, I wish I bought the area rug with the marble game design on it instead.

I like this product, but it really needs more marbles and it needs an instruction manual. I'm going by the way I played in elementary school, but seeing the different designs on the mat, there must be more types of marbles games than what I played. My boyrfriend's grandkids did enjoy trying to play, but with so few marbles it wasn't as much fun.

My grandson loves to play with marbles. His Grampa talked about "drawing a circle" so this was the greatest gift!

Bought this for our 7-year-old son for Christmas and he really enjoys it. The mat was bigger than expected and the perfect size (some of the other marble mats we looked at seemed too large). It also folds/rolls up easily for storage. It comes with marbles, so you don't need to order some separately. It has some basic instructions for marble games and our whole family had fun playing them. I hope that marbles makes a comeback. It's a simple game, doesn't take much space, easy to learn, but difficult to master. It also doesn't take any batteries and doesn't make any loud, annoying sounds. Perfect game for elementary-aged kids!
