Great fish for a fish lover!Dec 31, 2010
By Jendub My son LOVES fish. I bought these because he asked for "fish" for Christmas. It's a great set with 5 of each kind of fish. The only thing that is missing are the actual names of the types of fish included. My son is very into that and we couldn't tell him what they were called. :o( Otherwise, it's a great set that he can cart around the house and take outside or into the bath!

Fun FishMay 17, 2011
By Terry My nephew (age 4) loved these fish. I was hoping that they would float, but they don't. That didn't seem to bother him.

Great Buy!Dec 28, 2010
By N. Wild We bought this bucket of fish for our son (16 months) for Christmas. Obviously he doesn't use them as counters but he absolutely LOVES to play with them. They are a very small so he can't play with them by himself but he brings the bucket to us constantly and we've only had them a few days. They're very detailed in shape and color. We would definitely buy this again.

Well made, lifelike fishFeb 02, 2009
By Jake I bought these fun fish counters for use as table decorations at a wedding with an ocean type theme along with shells, sand, seaglass, and polished rocks. They are well made rubbery fish figures. They are fairly lifelike and certainly don't look cartoonish or anything.
I think they would be good for kids since they are more on the lifelike side and try to aim away from the usual plastic crap. They would only be educational if the kid was learning about different types of fish, learning how to count, or learning how to distinguish between colors, shape, etc. Otherwise I bet kids would just play with them, throw them, chew them, etc.
Great fun and educationalJan 09, 2012
By J Klee After reading other reviews, I bought these fish for my 3-year-old. He loves fish and I thought the'd be great in the tub, as they are solid and no water can get inside. What I didn't know is how many other neat things you can do with these fish--sorting, matching, counting, games. It comes with a pamphlet that describes several activities you can do with your preschooler. We've tried a couple avtivities and he really enjoyed them. The fish are brightly painted and good quality, good size (1-2 inches). They really smelled plasticy when I first opened them, but they're airing out. I highly recommend this toy.
