A Beautiful Gift!Feb 18, 2007
By 4Kids4Us This is the nicest kaleidoscope I've ever seen. If you are going to buy a kaleidoscope, I absolutely recommend this.
This is one of my son's greatest treasures. He just loves it.
This makes a really nice, unique gift for a great price. I'd give this to ages 2 or 3 on up to about 10.
Everyone loves this.

KaleidoscopeMay 18, 2008
By Friar A very enjoyable, new approach to an old classic. Very nice to watch the motion and colors as the liquid passes. Only drawback is that you must watch this product with small children as it is plastic and liquid and may be broken if left on the floor to be stepped on or hit against something. With care taken this is a wonderful product. Would recommend to all.

By Alice Our 26 yr old autistic daughter asked Santa to bring her a Kaeidoscope this year. ( I had already ordered this one when we wrote the email to Santa! Whew!) :-)
She is very careful with the things she loves....so I can't say how 'durable' it is. It looks like it would be...but I think it's more suitable for older children.
When she reads her books...she always has it with her...and looks through it between pages. The colors and designs are beautiful and the idea of "fairies" adds to the imagination.
Wonderful gift for any young girl.

Great Kaleidoscope!Jun 04, 2010

I work with preschoolers with autism and I needed a kaleidoscope that would blow their minds. We call it the "sparkle" because kaleidoscope is difficult to say when you're three years old. The box says it's for ages eight and over, and I agree that seems like the right age to allow unsupervised play with the toy as it could potentially break. However, I use this with my very young kids to show them how to be gentle and I supervise them closely while we are playing with it. The coolest part about this is the "liquid motion" of the glitter falling down the tube causing the view to continuously change. The kids also enjoy helping me assemble the two pieces and slide the rubber grommets on. The packaging has fairies on it but I use it with all my kids; the boys like it just as much as the girls.

Enchanting KaleidoscopeJan 04, 2009
By Avid Reader I love this scope. It is the most beautiful I have seen for the price point. It is durable enough to share with youngsters and beautiful enough to give them a great appreciation for kaleidoscopes. I have purchased several for youngsters and adolescents, and their parents seem to love it as much as the kids.
The oil movement is great and there are wonderful flashes of light, the patterns are complex and if you remove the wand it also doubles as a teleidoscope.
I highly recommend this kaleidoscope.
