While the toy has absolutely nothing wrong with it, he won't have anything to do with any of it because it doesn't look like the 'real' tools that the grown-ups use. He LOVES to fix things, mostly by banging on them. I gave him his toolbelt for his 2nd birthday, It went on him right away and with his hardhat on, he did look like Bob!! With his tools, he is no longer banging on things to fix, he is patiently using the plyers to try to twist bolts, he used the screw driver in an appropriate way and of course, the hammer does come into play.
