RIDE ON DUMP TRUCKMay 19, 2010 Purchased two of these for my 1 year old grandsons. Truck is well build and sturdy for the rough play of a little boy. Can be used as an aid to walking as they learn to take those first steps. Plenty of room in the dump bed for them load there blocks and other items they wish to push around.
Toy is a hit for our grandson.Feb 06, 2010 We bought this for our 12 month old grandson. He loves it. He especially loves the buttons to push for the different sounds. He also loves sitting on it as well as pushing it.
Great D'Tuk (As my 1 year old calls it)Feb 01, 2010 This Dump Truck is a big hit with my 1 year old. He has figured out how to push the buttons to make noise, which he loves. He also loves loading and unloading the bed. The only downside is that when the bed is down (in the non riding position) it doesn't lock into place very well...which is a problem for a one year old because I'm afraid that he'll push on it - and it will flip up and hit him in the head. So for now we keep it in the riding/pushing position until he's old enough to understand the other part. So far he LOVES his d'tuk.

Great toy, horribly madeDec 22, 2009 My parents got this for my son when he turned 1 a few weeks ago. It was immediately a HUGE hit. We set it up in walk-behind mode, and this is his favorite toy. He'd walk behind it, then sometimes go to the front to hit the buttons, then back to the back, etc...
2 days ago, we were showing somebody that it turns into a real dump truck as well, so for the first time ever, we unclipped the truck bed, and turned it into a proper dump truck. When we tried to set it up again in walk behind mode, the truck bed would clip, but immediately unclip. 5 of us tried for about 45 minutes to get the truck bed to stay, and it wouldn't. The way we ended up getting it to stay? Duct tape.
I emailed Mega Brands about this problem, and at my expense if I ship this one back, they'll send me a new one. Since shipping is about as much as the toy itself since it's so big, I passed, but I'm warning everybody that although this is a great toy, it's extremely poorly made. Now I understand what all the other reviews meant when they said they truck bed doesn't stay. It will, if you duct tape it, but then obviously you can switch truck modes until you remove the duct tape. I would've given this 5 stars otherwise, but giving it 2 because of this, and I'd recommend to find something else.
