Pirkins "wp" My 6 year old daughter loves this puncher and uses it any time she works on a project. She enjoys using it to make letterhead for notes to friends and teachers. It is easy enough for her to use on her own and has a good selection of designs. One warning, be careful not to insert the punch up-side-down. They will go in easy enough but will be very diffult to remove from the punch handle if not inserted correctly. 4 of 4 found the following review helpful: A truly clever paper punch.Aug 17, 2007 By C. Rice I bought this for my 2-year-old son. He isn't quite able to squeeze the handle, but he loves hearing the punch and looking for the cutout. Older children and adults will have no problem with the handle, though. It's so easy to swap shapes, and I love the carrying case. The plastic-cased metal punches seem like they will last a long time. So cool we bought the alphabet, too. UPDATE: Four years later, and my kids still love this punch. The strange this is that several of the punches have broken. They appear to be metal, but it must be a pretty soft metal, because that's the part that seems to break -- not the plastic part. The first time, I contacted Melissa and Doug and they sent a replacement punch. I haven't contacted them about the others, though. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is because it's a bit difficult to remove the punch cartridge. It fits snugly and requires strong hands to remove each one. Other than that, it's a wonderful today. My daughter has had it for over a year, uses it often, and it's still like new. CRAFT TOOL FOR EVERFeb 17, 2009 By ESMERALDA AZKARATE-GAZTELU Great kit. Comes in a big plastic box so that you can keep everything. Some of the shapes that can be done are not easily found in regular craft stores. I would like the punch itself to be a little bit more sturdy to hold and put the pieces on it.
