5Wonderful Stick HorseSep 04, 2007
By Jesus
I bought the toy for my little kid because he loves horses. The similarity of the head to a real horse is amazing. The horse makes three different sounds with the touch of an ear and they sound pretty real also (not like an old disc). The shape of the stick is very nice and different to others. We all love the horse in my home.

5Great Stick Horse!May 14, 2007
By Deborah J. Crowl "DJ Crowl"
This is a great stick horse, solid, strong head that wasn't loose on the stick at all. The stick color adds to the product and that makes it more whimsical. It also makes horse sounds. Nice product.

Very cute, realistic, and the striped pole adds a special touch. Another winner from Melissa and Doug!

53 year nephew loves itMay 20, 2008
By Rebecca N
I bought this for my 3.5 year old nephew, and paid about twice what amazon is charging for it (I bought it at the bus terminal in manhattan, so prices were high) and yet I didn't think it was overpriced even at that level. So the current amazon price is a real bargain.

This is just an incredible toy. The head is very well detailed, plush, and it has beautiful eyes. I really marveled at how nicely done the horse was, considering that this is a toy. It looked more like a soft sculpture. The sound works great - clear and loud enough to hear well. When you press the horse's ear, there's a galloping noise and then the horse neighs and snorts. If you don't want sound to be an option, you don't have to put batteries in. The child will never know the difference, since there's no visible switch.

Top quality, and my nephew loves it - galloping with it all around the house. I imagine it will be something he'll keep into his adulthood - it has that lifetime/nostalgia quality to it. I highly recommend this, and can't believe the bargain pricing. My parents (my nephew's grandparents) assumed I paid over $[...] for it. There's no room for improvement in this toy. It's just perfect.

3Cute but flimsyOct 11, 2010
By Rashae
It's cute, and my daughter loves it. The galloping and neighing noises are fun, but note that it does not come with even tester batteries. My children enjoyed it before we put in batteries. Unfortunately the head fell off the stick on the second day without any rough play. I was surprised because I had selected this one based on all the reviews that praised it as sturdy. My husband superglued it, and it seems to be holding.
