my little girl likes itSep 20, 2008
By Brianna S. Stika My little girl loves painting. I can't seem to pull this product away from her. The colors are very vivid and beautiful. The only thing i dont like about these paints is that after you use them once they get really chunky. all her art had these bill globs all over them. I dont think i'll buy it again but she dosen;t care if there are globs. WE'll keep using it for now but i wouldn't buy this again.

Like fingerpainting with warm JelloAug 31, 2009
By LA Pete Generally I like and trust Melissa and Doug toys but I was dumbfounded by this fingerpaint set. It is utterly useless. To make the material washable (I imagine) the texture is akin to warm Jello. There is no vibrancy to the colors; they are translucent when applied to paper. And the paint dries on the finger before a little one can complete the simplest picture. My advice: Don't frustrate your child with this product. Wait until s/he is ready for real fingerpaint.

Perfect for Toddlers, Absolutely PerfectJan 12, 2009

PLEASE read my review for Melissa and Dougs 4pk of Painting Brushes. These paints are so much bolder and brighter than crayola Colors. I believe the chunky texture of the paints has something to do with it being washable. All of the washable paints I have used so far have the same texture. No matter what the manufacturer. But these are the most vibrant. When used with Melissa and Dougs brushes it is a perfect way to introduce your toddler to painting. the Best. Maybe the older kids would mind the texture a bit but toddlers will not even notice. If anything my son likes when the paint kind of chunks a bit and will focus on spreading it out evenly over the paper

icky sticky...clumpyMar 14, 2009

This is more like Elmer's glue. The paint is really chunky and stringy. The colors don't blend well. I will not buy again, and would not recommend.
This is one of the worst Melissa and Doug products ever.

Horrible consistency, and colors don't blendJan 19, 2009
By MYOB The consistency begins as jelly-like and devolves to watery and lumpy over time; shaking or stirring does not help. Also, my daughter loves to mix her own colors, but these colors are almost impossible to mix: yellow + red = yellow/red, not orange. We have used other washable finger paints and not had these problems. I would not recommend these to anyone and will never buy them again.
