I've rarely met an M&D product that I didn't love, but...
For starters, despite being shipped in a ridiculous amount of packaging, most of the pieces of chalk were shattered when it arrived, and the ones that weren't broke easily in my child's hand as she wrote.
The colors are wonderful and vibrant, but it's coated with something, presumably to keep down the dust, but it's really difficult (even for me) to "break through" that layer to actually write with the chalk. So - we'll try crayola next time!

I bought these to go with my sons roll up chalk mat, and when I received them, I was surprised by how bright the colors of the chalk are. However, when we started using them, they broke fairly easily. They are dust free, and true to that, and come in some great colors, but it's just not enough for me to buy them again.

There was a good selection of colors in the chalk. The only problem we have is with the color "black". It won't come off the board, even with a wet cloth.

IT IS NOT DUSTLESS!!!! I have chalk dust everywhere! I got this chalk because it said 'dustless' chalk and I have an Asthmatic family. I also got this for winter to add to their art supplies. But this is NOT DUSTLESS. I will never buy this again. Sidewalk chalk has less mess and less dust!
