Perfect for keeping squirrels out of our bird feederMar 09, 2011
By GoldenAger
"GoldenAger"
When attached to a bird feeder pole equipped with a squirrel baffle, the Slinky Jr. will absolutely prevent squirrels from getting around the baffle. After they climb up the pole and grab hold of the Slinky Jr., squirrels get a quick ride down. Some make several attempts before they give up. I ordered two more to replace older ones that have rusted and lost some of their spring. Since the Slinky Jr. is not intended for outside use, it wouldn't be fair to complain on durability. They will, however, last at least five years outdoors.

Go for the bigger oneDec 19, 2009
By Cie Cie The junior version of the Slinky is too light on the ends to walk down steps. It barely bends. Without the weight and flexibility of the larger original one made this junior sized slinky all but missing the fun of walking. (Of course unless the ones I bought are defeative then I'm only complaining about the bads one I have now.)
Update 12/20/2009: I counted the number of "loops" of the junior and the bigger one. Junior has only 64 while the original has 83. The Junior slinky is only 75% of the number of loops compare to the bigger one. I also tested the plastic junior and it works fine.

Best Office ToyAug 28, 2009
By Kitty S. I've always kept a Slinky Jr. in my office and play with it constantly: flipping and catching, treating it almost like a yo-yo/paddle ball, Slinky-ing it from hand to hand. The trouble is, someone invariably walks off with it or plays with it and trashes it. But left alone with my own Slinky Jr., it's the best office toy. (I keep one on the kitchen counter at home, too.)
Great cat toy!Jan 13, 2012
By T. Mueller My cat discovered that slinky jrs are loads of fun to play with and bite/chew. So every year or two I have to buy him a new one because they get rusted from his slobber. I would recommend the larger/regular slinky to someone buying this for their kids but this is the perfect size for a cat toy. Just hang it from something and they can play with it on their own whenever they want. Just beware that if it is close to your bedroom, your cat might wake you up at night by playing with it.
Small but holding up goodAug 28, 2011
By J. Rogers I have been playing with this at my computer for a while now. Something to keep my hands busy but it helps for the carpal tunnel to get some motion in my wrist. I would say this little toy is well worth the price.
