Messy and FrustratingDec 26, 2007 We got this for Christmas for my 5 year old sister. I had to hide it before her younger nephew (3) came in because I was afraid of the mess it would make. It really is just an oddly shaped box of sand with a bunch of plastic molds. She cried and got frustrated because she could not pick up the shapes. It got on the fabric of the kitchen chair and would not come off. I had to dust her off and follow her around with a dustbuster. Took forever to clean up all the sand and put it in a ziploc bag (directions suggest you put it back in the junky plastic bag they supply) What a horrible toy! Might be ok for outside at a picnic table or on the ground. I hope this toy dissappears from the market!
Not as AdvertisedJun 12, 2007 I purchased moon sand for my 4 year because I thought it would be a better option than play doh. But it never expanded like it was advertised. When I opened the package all I had was dry, colored sand. I would not buy this product again.
Don't Buy ItApr 15, 2007 What a disappointment! We got this for my daughter because of the enticing TV commercials that make it appear to be fun, moldable and not messy. However, it is none of those and is VERY MESSY! It is just a cross between dust and sand and NOT fun to play with OR to clean up. It stays on your hands and a child can easily wipe their eyes and cause problems. Go with Play-Doh or Floam instead.

Wonderful ProductMar 12, 2007 I love this stuff and so does my 2 1/2 year old. It has a very different feel than Play-doh that is really addictive. I don't really understand the negative reviews. It is a messy product but it cleans up easily and doesn't dry up- unlike Play-doh that sticks to carpets and stains. You do need to apply pressure on the product to get it to adhere but once it does, you can carve it.

What a let downFeb 11, 2007 My 6 year old daughter wanted this stuff so bad for Christmas. I saw the commercials and thought it looked great so I bought it for her. Within minutes, the stuff was everywhere. It doesn't really stick together as well and easy as the commercials show. It is very dry, so dry that it really doesn't bond, not even in the molds unless you really put some muscle into it.
The reason I gave it 2 stars instead of 1 is because she enjoyed playing with it. Each time she plays with it, we have less and less. I can't tell you how happy that makes me. She likes Playdough better she says. Wish I had saved my money.
