Wonderful, soft, SAFE, first tool set!Oct 24, 2007
By J.Z. This is a very soft - and very SAFE - first tool set. My husband is Mr. Fix-it, so I thought it would be fun for him to give to our new grandson. The set is adorable. The tools are plush toys, and perfectly safe for a baby. The hammer is a rattle, the wrench is a squeaky toy, and the screwdriver makes crinkly sounds when you squeeze it (or chew on it). The plush tools are all machine washable, but the toolbox itself is only surface washable. The tool box closes with a velcro closure. The toolbox is 6" long, 3" high, and 3" deep. Each tool is about 4" long. It's a fun first tool set for the youngest do-it-yourselfer in the family!

Really cute, but small for the priceJan 15, 2008

I thought looked really cute for my new nephew -- my brother's first born. It was so perfectly little boy. I was slightly disappointed, however, to find it SO small for the price. It's as small as a little clutch purse. It was, nevertheless, well received and very ideal for a 3 month old, as the tools were perfect for his little fists! I have 5 kids of my own, so I have seen a lot of toys!!!!

Great for Baby Boys!Nov 25, 2007
By N. Privette These toys are the ultimate in simplicity. My husband is a big-time do-it-yourself-er, so we received this toy from a friend when our baby was born. Our son starting playing with these when he was about 3 months old. The bright colors of the tools caught his attention and he practiced reaching and grabbing at them. Now that he's almost six months, these still keep him entertained. Each toy has its own little noise (crinkle, squeak, or rattle), and they're large and soft enough for him to shake around and chew on. How nice that it comes with a little tool box - everything in its place! It doesn't take up much room and squashes well, so it is a frequent travel toy for us. And it's refreshing that my son loves a toy that doesn't light up, vibrate, blink, play music, speak five languages, take up half our living room, or require batteries. This is a favorite in our house.

Baby DYINov 17, 2007

I bought this toy as a gift to my husband, the ultimate Do It Yourself guy, when our twins were born. Both of our babies (who are now 14 months) STILL love to play with it! It is perfect to rattle (hammer) and crunch (screwdriver) and squeek (wrench). But better than that, they are super soft to chew on. I toss them into the washing machine every couple of days and they return to near new condition!

Great gift for 6 mos - 1 1/2 yrsSep 08, 2007
By K. Fritz I bought this as a Christmas gift for about $5 for a couple of younger nephews/cousins last year. It was a great hit with the kids & parents! No noise... no damage... but the tools were still good enough to work and bang with. The kids loved they're own little box to carry everything in and the velcro closure kept everything secure while they went from job to job ;)
Think I'll get one for my grandson. Baby Gund had a similar purse for the girls too!
