Disappointed, and puzzledFeb 11, 2011
By B. Matthews All the rave comments led me to believe this was the KALEIDOSCOPE I was looking for. The colors are indeed vibrant like others say but -- and here comes a big caveat -- for some reason that I can't fathom the eyepiece is constructed so as to partly obscure your view! Instead of a full 360 degree view through a round eyepiece there are what I can only describe as 'blockers' inside on both sides, built to block your full view of the colors. You're peering through a 'slit' instead of an open eyepiece. This viewing blocker is built in and _cannot_ be rotated out of the way. And it's not a fluke because I bought two of these KALEIDOSCOPES and both are built exactly the same. Definitely reduces one's viewing enjoyment, and confounding because it's inexplicable why they would construct it this way. Manufacturer, what were you thinking??

By Sand4me I really like kaleidoscopes and when I saw this one I had to have it. The colors are incredible. They are very vibrant and jewel-like. It proves that you don't have to spend alot to get something worth having.

I was glad to find this toy on-line. I had so much fun with these as a child, and I still enjoy watching the patterns change, as well as the brilliant colors. It's great to keep on my desk, to give my eyes a rest after staring at a computer screen for too long.

The BestJan 14, 2011
By Alice Marie Nathan This is by far the best kaleidoscope I have ever seen. It has more colors and patterns than ever. I bought a 2nd one for my mother who is in a nursing home. She absolutely loves it, too!

I gave this to four disadvantaged kids that I mentor, one fifth grade girl, two sixth grade girls and one sixth grade boy and they were all facinated with it. The boy told me that when I gave him a book he didn't take it home but this he had to take home and show his mom!
