3Not the same quality as the other Safari "toobs"May 31, 2010

We also own the "Safari Horses Toob" and it's hard to believe they were both made by the same company! The horses are of excellent quality and detail and the pirates... not so much! The paint job on the pirates is poor at best- with some of the figures it's not obvious right away what it is because the paint job is so poor. Also, I would have rather the toy makers included another pirate than a ship that is smaller than some of the pirates... how are the pirates supposed to play on that teeny tiny ship anyways?

4Yo Ho ho and a tub of ToobsApr 16, 2006

A set of timber shivering rocklicing salty sea dogs.
Several poses are based on the drawings of Howard Pyle.
The figures are standard toy soldier size and well painted and designed.
There is even writing on the treasure map.

4small but pretty coolJul 01, 2010

bought these to go along with a Fisher-Price pirate boat. They are a lot smaller than the guys the boat came with but still are a lot of fun.

5All essentials for pirate adventureJun 22, 2009
By Jim K.
This Pirate "Toob" by Safari has all the characters and extras for a kid to create his or her own pirate stories. There's a cannon along with a pile of cannon balls. There's an interesting variety of pirates, including a lady one. The ship included is about the same size as the figures. So it's really a background piece. But it's nice that Safari included it just to complete the set. Perfect for school dioramas.

2Figures are skinnier than I expectedNov 06, 2010
By Mother of Two "Amber"
My son has several Fisher Price Imaginext figures, castles, and pirate ship. I was hoping that these would be about that size, but they are a bit shorter, and much skinnier. Also, their feet are connected underneath, so that they are more similar to the little green army men (in shape) than to the Imaginext action figures.
