I ordered this lovey as a spare for my son. The original was gifted to us just after he was born by a friend of my father. After we almost lost the original twice I decided to get a second, and wouldn't you know Amazon had it right there, reasonably priced. This monkey is super soft and cuddly, and my son chews on the silk corners.
I will say that the original was purchased in 2010, and this monkey does vary slightly from that one. They are definitely the same product, but it has changed just a tiny bit. Not a big deal.
My only real complaint was that the monkey came smelling strongly of the plastic packaging it came in, and it took a washing or two to make it smell nice.

This is my son's sleep companion, he's with him every night in his crib. He is crazy in love with monkey! This toy is super soft and made to be totally safe for littles ones. No plasitic parts at all and the knots on the ends of the corners are the material knotted so if it comes undone it won't be a separate piece. It's 100% washable. Oh and it has the cutest little tail!! I bought 2 of them so I could wash without him noticing.

Our grandson now has three of these. They are all in his crib at night. When he was younger he carried at least one of them around most of the time. They are very snugly. When he lost the second one in the mall we got him a cousin and shipped it immediately. They were reunited when the UPS man came, and it was a very emotional scene. Highly recommended.
