In case you don't actually know what this toy does, it is a drawing tool. Pictures can be drawn by twisting a pair of knobs, one which moves the "pen" vertically and one which moves it horizontally. It becomes a challenge to draw a picture without being able to lift the pen away from the image and set it down on another location. Images can be erased by turning the toy upside-down and shaking it a few times, making this a limitless toy which can be used for a long time.

There's nothing better than Etch-a-SketchJul 13, 1999

Every human should have one of these. Ideally, every human should have one of these in every size and color available. It doesn't get any better than Etch-a-Sketch. I have several of them in my office, and they're wonderful for long meetings and work sessions.

I bought this to play with with my 18 month old daughter because she loves the magnadoodle. I of course realize that this is something she'd need to grow into, but thought it would be fun for me in the meantime. The lines are very faint and don't erase very well. I remember the larger version from my childhood being a much better quality. It might just be the size that's the issue.

Fun, active, durable classic toy!Jul 03, 1999

I have one of these sitting right next to me on my desk at work! I use it from time to time when I feel the need to doodle or just be silly. It's great for all ages and has always been a toy that's well-loved. I've given some to friends as well as mini-gifts for the times when nothing is being celebrated but they need something to cheer them up. I'd highly recommend it!

This is the classic Etch A Sketch, but just a bit smaller. Amazon's listed it as an office toy. I'd have to agree with this bacause whenever you're stressed, you can challenge yourself to draw a picture of your boss. It's a really a great deal!
