Mccabe My 14 month old son has had these for awhile now and still plays with them almost every day. They are so versatile and colorful and he loves the different textures, especially the fuzzy polar bear block. I agree with the other reviewer though, if your baby is a chewer, these aren't the best. I took away the smallest block (which he loved because it has a rattle inside) because he was basically eating it and the cardboard was dissolving. The bigger blocks have been a big hit though. But: 1. the blocks are pretty cheap/flimsy (surprising for how much they cost) 2. the images are stuck on a little clumsily 3. the "attachments" (ears on elephant, mouth on hippo) are fragile and can easily be torn off 4. THERE IS A SPELLING MISTAKE -- hippopatamus?? You've got to be kidding. The only problem is they're a bit fragile, since they're made from cardboard. Not good if your baby likes to chew on things! Dashiell's MomJan 13, 2009 By J. Clark These are beautifully designed and durable enough for my one year old. He's not chewing so much these days. But, the blocks weren't well designed for small children with the movable parts. As soon as he found the elephant ears and the hippo mouth they were goners. I decided to glue them down. Flat ears and a stationary mouth are more educational that no ears and only half of a mouth. It seems like the manufacturer should have figured that out. And, the spelling error is really sloppy.
