Fun TopSep 21, 2009
By Paula Anderson This spinning top was purchased for an adult with developmental disorders. He loves spinning objects. As he is an adult, I continue to look for items that are durable. This top is made of metal and appears to be more durable than the previous plastic tops that were purchased. He has had the top for about 3 weeks and it is still in one piece!!! The suction cup at the bottom does not completely prevent the top from moving but is sufficient to keep the top on the table. I would order this top again.

Great, nostalgic fun!Feb 08, 2009
By R. Ekker We bought this for our three year old daughter's birthday and it was a huge hit! She loves the bright colors and graphic shapes. It's a little hard for her to make it go fast enough to hear the whistles, but our six year old loves to do that part for her. This is a very nice break from all the electronic stuff we are surrounded by.

Cool ToyJan 07, 2010
By RunMonkeyMama We got this as a gift for our three year old from his Gramps. What a neat toy! I'm too young to remember these from my childhood, but I guess my father-in-law does. Anyway, it's actually a really cool toy, and the sounds it makes aren't nearly as annoying as some of the battery operated toys on the market today. My son and his baby brother both enjoy watching it spin, and hearing the harmonic sounds it makes. Plus there's the added benefit of there being a scientific principle to share with the kids, to teach them how it works.

the suction cup takes the joy out of a spinning topDec 28, 2010
By old grey haired lady The fascination of a top is listening to it whir and watching it dance around the floor and tip over as it slows down. The grand kids quickly lost interest it this one.

My daughter likes this toy fineMay 02, 2010
By MustangJill I got this for my daughter since I remembered having one similar to it as a child. I love the colors and the fact that it is metal. The base just does not seem quite as sturdy as I would like. I love the harmonic tones when it gets going really fast. Good simple toy with no parts to get lost.
