5Right Brain LearnerApr 28, 2010
After discovering my child learns with his Right Side of his Brain, I wanted something to help tutor him. This book is great. It starts with a description and understanding of how a Right Brain Learner see & hears what he is learning. It gives you test questions to determine whether or not your child really is a Right Brain Learner. It also gives you instructions on how to re-train your child the "right" way. It is a lot more work .. but the training works and works fast. I tells you how to tutor your child in Reading, Math and Writing. I also recommend: "The Right Side Of Learning" .. both books will get you started and help your child improve (with a little extra time and help from you). It all makes sense (my child is 8 yrs old) .. on past years of learning, personality and likes / dislikes .. how it is all related to being a right brain learner. I am very happy with this book.

3geared towards visual processorsApr 17, 2010
This is brave little book in that it takes on the entire educational establishment. I have no doubt about the passion and sincerity of the authors, but it tends to hypothesize a lot and oversimplify. For instance, it assumes that children who are right brained are visual processors. Well, I'm right-brained and I'm not a visual processor and never have been....my auditory is much stronger and I would always learn by listening. This book will definitely be of value IF your child is a visual processor. If he or she is not, you will still find some material of value but you'll have to sift through it.

5Great InsightJul 22, 2009
Learned a lot about my son and his ABILITIES. At the beginning of the year, my 4 year old son's teacher was concerned about him being ready to start Kindergarten. Within a few months, he had progressed to reading on a 2 grade level. He (and I) take great pride in amazing everyone with his extraordinary ability to spell multi-syllable words forwards and backwards, especially those who referred to him as 'out of control' and 'hard to teach'. I can't wait to see how he will progress next year in Kindergarten!

5Right Brained Children in a Left Brained WorldJul 04, 2009
This is an easy to read, easy to follow book. It not only talks about the issues that confront a Right Brained Child, but how to work effectively with them. It helps you enhance their strengths, rather than focusing on their weaknesses. It has made a big difference to my son's learning already and we only started some of the techniques 6 weeks ago. Books like this are rarely the answer to your problems, but this one really has helped my son immensely.

5A must-read for parenting your smart ADD childJun 07, 2009
This is the first book that has made me feel hopeful for my gifted but ADD-troubled son. Most books on the topic are depressing and only offer unrealistic things to do for your child, (would that we could all quit our jobs, go to school with our kid, hire housekeepers & personal shoppers & people to take care of our other kids so we could focus 100% on our ADD child!) This book offers practical, useful information to help your child succeed in school and life. I felt throughout the book that the author really knows exactly what life (and the constant challenge)is like for families with these special children.
