Disappointing ...Sep 17, 2008
By Trevor Goodchild The construction on this is very disappointing ... The stickers are irregular and lumpy. Whats the point of an attractive neutral-color cube if its made like crap? Is a little workmanship too much to ask for nowadays?

A Missed OpportunityMar 31, 2009
By Brian Bush This cube could have been pretty cool, but it's not. There are 6 sides to a Rubik's cube, so making 6 shades of gray is easy. In percentage of black, it would be as follows: 0% (white), 20%, 40%, 60%, 80%, 100% (black). Instead, what they used were: 0% (white) 40%, 50%, 60%, 100% (black) and silver. I have no idea why. It makes the gray sides difficult to distinquish, which does not make it more challenging to solve... just irritating.

A new look for a classic puzzleJan 05, 2009

I bought this cube and found it to be quite smooth in turning. I have no problem with the colors (there's a black side and two dark gray sides that are similar). They are hard to differentiate if the lighting is dim, but otherwise I found no problem. Some people said they had problems with the stickers but I have not found that to be the case.
I think the color difference makes this cube a little more challenging, if for no other reason that I'm not used to it the same as I am with my original. If you like the classic cube, I definitely recommend this.

Forget aboutMay 05, 2008

Get a full color cube instead. The one I got is really tight, even after lubricating, and these gray colors besides don't being beautiful are dificult to differentiate. Don't waste your money on this.

Great additionJun 19, 2008
By pvd I collect all sorts of puzzle cubes (and other shapes) and enjoy solving them for fun. I'm nowhere near competition speeds, but I'm pretty good. I was in the store looking for a new 4x4x4 and I saw this cube! I was very excited :D It provides a new challenge, or maybe a twist on the old challenge, because the colors are very similar to each other. I feel like this cube will make me better at being able to see steps quicker and therefore making my time with the regular cube that much better.
ALSO! This cube looks damn neat. Totally awesome. Maybe not worth $23 on amazon...but honestly, if I saw it on here before I saw it in the store, I'd probably get it for $23 :)
