baby funJan 06, 2009
By Linda A. Brownell I bought this toy for my 6 month old grandson and his 3 yr old brother just loves winding it for him. They both are surprised when the monkey pops up. Very cute and well made toy. One issue is that the monkey doesn't stuff back into his box very easily, but a minor issue compared to how cute it is.

Sock Monkey Jack-in-the-BoxMay 19, 2008

This Sock Monkey Jack-in-the-Box was purchased for a baby shower gift, and it was the "Hit" of the shower. Everyone wanted to play with it as it was passed around the circle, and it was fun to see a these grown women smile, reminisce, and chuckle together as the monkey popped up to the tune of "Pop goes the weasel!"
I work with the expectant mom and she is decorating her (Boy) baby's room in a sock monkey theme, so it was great fun for her to get this...a darling decoration for now and a fun toy for later use. Very cute, colorful, and amusing!

Sock Monkey ReviewDec 05, 2010
By Svenska I'm not sure who loves a jack in the box more, the adults or the children, but this toy is no more and no less than what one would expect from this good old fashioned go-to type of toy. I plan to give it to my 18 mos. old grandsons, and for them, it might be somewhat educational -- they will learn "Pop Goes the Weasel," how to turn a crank, and that the monkey predictably pops out of the box at the same time everytime. They giggle when they are surprised, which is the joy in it for me.
I was happy with the quality of the toy and it's packaging. It was delivered very quickly. I would recommend it for any overindulgent grandparent such as myself who likes a little nostalgia and giggling babies. :)
