thank you for understanding my child!May 05, 2006
By Michaeldaugherty This book is a must for parents that have experienced daily challanges that few discuss. I appreciate the easy directions and the equipment I already have on hand that is called for. My son used to take flour and pour it on everything for a 'snow day'!Little did I realized what he needed. Thank you Bonnie , for your time spent in understanding the sensory needs of so many and equiping me , as a parent to help my son.

Fun book with lots of great ideas for sensory activitiesMar 22, 2009
By J. Gilbert I love this book! It is filled with simple, easy activities to engage your child's senses. The directions for each activity are very straight-forward and include helpful hints to save on cleanup and mess. While this is an invaluable resource for a parent or teacher of children with sensory issues, the activities are fun and would appeal to most kids. Another great thing about the book is that it groups together familiar songs and games when appropriate to stimulate a sense, such as movement or touch. Ms. Arwine includes stories and anecdotes about children with sensory issues to illustrate ways the activities can aid such children. Great resource!

A Fun BookFeb 10, 2009
By Terri Heffington
"Marmee"
This book is full of fun things to do with kids to have fun and stimulate sensory motor skills and facilitate language, motor, and cognitive skills in the very young child. I use the activities with my grandchildren and while working with developmentally delayed children through our early intervention program. The activities are so engaging and simple to implement. I am glad that I ordered this book.

Good Resource for ideas on Sensory IntegrationOct 30, 2007
By E. Labedz

I have found this book handy for coming up with new ideas for a "sensory diet" for my son. Most of the materials are easy to find if you don't already have them around the home. I recommend it for parents who are their child's primary "therapist." Does not replace a good occupational therapist, but I consult with one and once I learned about my son's sensory profile, we picked some activities together that would be helpful.
