5Great QualityJul 31, 2009
By Alika Tanaka Yarnell
I once thought all tummy time gyms were the same and didn't understand why some were so expensive. Now I see why. A lot of thought went into the making of this quality product. The mat itself has lots of "activity" perks like different textures and squeaks. The three hanging toys it comes with all "do" something. One is a pleasant-sounding chime, one is a vibrating whale, and one is a light-up monkey that plays three mini songs--all of which are tolerable to this adult's ears! The mirror and pillow are also great. I love how you can remove the toys and affix them onto other things you may have around the house (or the car seat, etc). The monkey can sit upright even when it's not dangling, which I find a great design. Overall, I'm quite pleased. My two-month-old daughter definitely responds to the toys, although gets over-stimulated after awhile. I suspect she'll grow to love it more over time. Regardless, it's been great and I can see her taking a liking to some of the toys even beyond the tummy time days.

5worth every pennyOct 21, 2008
By B's Mom
I ordered this on line after buying a cheaper mat at the store. It is worth every penny. There are more expensive mats out there, but I found that this one has everything you could possibly need without having things you don't. My 4 month old son loves it. He could spend hours a day playing on it. And I like that it is teaching him to play independently. I have had a couple friends buy it after seeing mine. It is a must have.

5Great Gym !!!!Aug 21, 2008
By Got2BMoody
I had a hard time deciding between this (Gymini Monkey Island Activity Gym) and another Tiny Love Gym. I am glad I chose this one. The mat is very bright and attractive. All of the toys are cute and serve their different purposes. I also love that the gym converts down so all the toys are at baby's reach, but still attached so they don't get too far away. My 2 month old son usually cries when on his belly but when on this mat he stays there looking at everything for a good 20 minutes at a time without a fuss. The only thing I do not like about this gym is that there is no volume control on the light-up monkey toy. It seems to be a lot louder than it needs to, but all in all is a cute feature. In fact, my 3 year old keeps taking off with it to play with it herself. All in all it is worth the money.

1Very Tought out GymJul 07, 2010
By L. Cooper "Lo"
Edited: The lion windchime piece of this gym has been recalled. Please call Tinylove to get a replacement part. [...]I like the gym but I feel they should have publicized this recall better.

I bought this gym primarily because I love the monkey theme. It has bright vibrant colors, and I was looking for a mat that had a light-up aspect. The mat itself has interactive components like the elephant ear is crinkly, there's a squeaky bit in the whale, and the cloud is a soft material. The arches are plush and have two positions, one that's perfect for tummytime. The toys that come with the gym are fun and colorful. My 2 month old will stare up at them, and it looks like he's having fun. The monkey and lights are a bit overstimulating for him right now, but I'm sure he'll like it later. It folds up pretty compactly which is good for storage. Overall I'm happy with this purchase.

2DisappointingNov 03, 2010
By TMac
After doing extensive research on baby "gyms" this seemed like it would be the best value and had good reviews both here and other sites. Personally it is just ok. All of the toys hang way TOO LOW for the baby to play with if laying on their backs. Some of the toys are really too big (the monkey) to be hung properly and viewed by baby. I find the Prince Lionheart Popups Deluxe Baby Gym (you have to google it) to be FAR better as the tent area is higher - you can use additional rings to lower the items if you want the baby to reach and grab them.
