I always make sure to reinforceMar 28, 2010
By Vicki M. Krueger Toobaloos are GREAT for guided reading groups. I use different colored electrical tape to reinforce them because they are thin plastic that can fall apart if dropped "just the right way" on the floor. With reinforcement they'll last a long time. I also use alcohol wipes to sanitize them after each child uses the Toobaloo. Students love them and no one gets sick in my classroom from holding them near their face.
Speech helpNov 18, 2011
By S. Cheatham We found these to be great help in facilitating speech. They are great because the child can hear themselves clearly. They are fairly durable unless the child tends to chew on them, but normal use they do just fine. After using these our child's speech really improved and he loves playing with them.
great for mimicking and calmingApr 20, 2011
By ritapan This is a great toy for all ages. My daycare kids use it to have full blown conversations with their friends and parents. Especially useful if child is missing mommy/daddy. "Let's call them and say hi." Also, can report on the toobaloo what the child is up to. They love it!
