My children love playing with all these "Toobs" (we own several). I like to purchase them as a hands-on educational toy relating to various topics we are studying in Social Studies or Science. The tiny models are very high-quality, realistic, well-made, and nicely painted. The name of the animal is printed on the underside of each model. They store nicely in a clear plastic tube with a cool spinning globe on the lid, and a string for carrying. The plastic tube will break or crush easily if stepped on.

On the plus side, fairly realistic figures that, unlike most/all other sets, don't look like war and fighting is their only occupation. It's nice to be able to give a 6 years old figures that behave a bit peacefully and in somewhat realistic everyday life situation. On the minus side, the scale is awful. I understand this is a standard feature of Toob (see the Space toob for instance), but some excess could be improved. Good for diorama though. Haven't see the paint peel off after a few weeks.
Bottomline: my 6 year old son liked it and it looks safe and durable enough.
