3very cuteJan 09, 2007

2 & 3 yr olds play with this. Easy for both of them. They like to mix up the animals and make funny looking "creatures". The only thing I was disappointed in was that only the back half of the animal can be removed. The heads are part of the board itself and don't come out. It would be much more challenging if the whole animal came out of the board. That is the reason I gave it a 3. Other than that - durable and cute.

2Simplistic, not funJan 18, 2011
By Susan Weston
I thought from the online description and photos that each animal had multiple exchangeable parts. Instead, there's just one curve (the back leg of the animal) that can be removed and replaced. The pieces are slim with teeny little red knobs. My 17 month old isn't quite coordinated enough to handle the puzzle, but I think by the time he gets the humor of a crocodile with giraffe legs he's going to be way past this physically. I'm disappointed, so many of the melissa and doug puzzles seem great, and this one is just cheap and boring.

5Great PurchaseDec 23, 2009

I bought this as a gift for my niece. She loves it and plays with it often. I would recommend this for the toddler set. This is durable and colorful as is the case with all Doug & Melissa toys.

I would like to see the different sections of this toy be "pieces" of the puzzle, but its only the middle section.

4Great puzzle for toddlers!Nov 12, 2009

I got this puzzle for my daughter. She is 22 months and it took a few tries but she finally got how to put the pieces in. The only reason I didn't give it five stars is because she has chewed the edge of a couple pieces and they turned ugly. Other than that, this is a great puzzle.
